No one is naive about what it will take to save democracy; many actions on many fronts are required.
The Tucson-based, Hear-The-People.INFO project focuses on an important front: mail. These postcards will be an exclamation point to every rally, protest and boycott!
Hear-The-People.INFO is designed to join our voices in a coordinated, consistent and unrelenting postcard campaign to advise AZ elected officials and national leaders that:
- We will no longer tolerate silence.
- We demand regular, in-person town hall meetings with elected officials.
- We demand elected officials speak, in public and to power, against the tyranny of this administration.
- We demand elected officials use every vote to resist the tyranny of this administration.
- We will continue this message until this administration is no longer a threat to democracy.
IMPACT ON ELECTEDS
Nothing gets the attention of elected officials more than consistently VOCAL constituents.
Consistently received, hand-written postcards from coordinated constituents? This will be noticed.
The fact that each hand-written postcard requests a response, and, lists how many times the writer has written? As our voices grow, recipients will begin to see that hundreds (thousands?) of people have taken the time to write them 10, 20, 30 times...harder to ignore.
